Hi! Thank you for visiting my blog. Here is where I share wedding stationery & business branding tips, with the occasional personal posts about my life. Enjoy!
Hi friends! Today I am sharing my top 3 favorite invitation trends for 2022 (and beyond, because I think they are here to stay for a good while!).
Whenever you hear “trend”, you may also think it’s just a fad that will eventually fade out. However, while I do agree with this to an extent, I like to share the trends that I believe will last past a year or two. A lot of wedding invitation trends I have seen the past several years are STILL going strong today, with no end in sight (yay!).
Without further ado…
Monochromatic/tonal palettes are just now starting to pop up more in the wedding industry. I am VERY excited for this trend because I think it is here to stay for awhile (if not always). This can be perfect for couples who don’t have a lot of color in their wedding, or ones who simply want one color (green or blush, etc.). You can still make your wedding color palette one color by introducing other similar tones so it doesn’t look “flat”.
2. Fun Shapes
Fun shapes like arches are gaining a lot of traction with engaged couples, and I can certainly understand why!
This is perfect for the modern couple who want to show some variety and personality (but don’t get me wrong, I still love a good rectangle shape). Even though I think these are here to stay for awhile as well because they are different and fun, you can also expect them to cost a bit more since they are die cuts.
3. Envelope Liners
Envelope liners have been around for awhile, but I am finding more and more couples are starting to incorporate them and I am HERE for it! Envelope liners are a fun way to add even MORE personality to your invitations! It can also be that extra little touch if you want a more simple design for your main invite and insert cards. I have seen some pretty cool liners–watercolor paintings, line illustrations, pretty monograms–the list is endless for liners!
